Eco-Watch has been registered as a "Public Charitable Trust" since October 1998. The organisation carries out awareness and education programmes and activities towards promoting and preserving our environment. In addition the organisation also implements and undertakes projects and programmes that are aimed at protecting our environment and ecology. In this background and to further its activities the organisation has been recognized and provided with the Income Tax Exemption Certificate by the Government. Hence any donation made to the organisation will be exempt of Income Tax under Section 80G(5)(vi) of the Income Tax Act 1961.
